Simplify is a popular browser extension and web app for job seekers. Its free Copilot fills in application forms for you to submit, and its paid Autopilot submits applications for you. Hunter is a Windows app that hunts for jobs on a schedule, scores each one against your real experience, writes a tailored resume for each job, and holds applications in a Review queue until you approve them. Simplify wins on reach, devices and its free tier. Hunter wins on careful, checked applications and keeping your data on your PC.

Facts about Simplify come from its own website and help center, checked October 29, 2026. Links are at the bottom.

Autofill, Autopilot and review

Simplify’s free Copilot fills in forms on many application sites, and you click the employer’s Submit button yourself. Simplify+ adds Autopilot, which submits for you using weekly credits. Its help center is direct about it: “There is no review step before submission.” It also warns that seeing “Application filled” isn’t the same as the employer confirming they received it.

Hunter fills in the application on the company’s own site, then puts it in the Review queue. Hunter starts in practice mode, so it never presses Submit by itself until you turn that off, and a daily limit caps how many it sends. Any question it isn’t sure about comes to you.

Resumes

Simplify’s resume builder and resume score are free, and AI tailoring is part of Simplify+. Hunter writes a resume for each job only from your experience bank, and highlights every line it reworded so you can compare it with your original wording. See Tailored resumes and the fact check.

Simplify’s free tier includes Copilot autofill, the resume builder, a job tracker and Gmail integration. Simplify+ is listed at $19.99 a week, $39.99 a month or $89.99 for 3 months, and Simplify says prices can differ for offers and App Store purchases. Autopilot uses 20 credits a week.

Hunter is free during early access and uses your own Claude or ChatGPT account for AI work.
