Interview prep sheets

A prep sheet is a one-stop cheat sheet for an interview: the questions you’re likely to get, your best stories to answer them (from your experience bank), and smart questions to ask them. Make one from the Interviews page or from any application with Prepare for interview. Save it as PDF, Word or Markdown.

How do I make one?

Any of these work:

• On the Interviews page, click Create new prep sheet, or Prep sheet next to an upcoming interview.
• Open an application and click Prepare for interview.

Hunter reads the job posting, the company, and your experience bank, then writes the sheet. It takes a minute, about the same time it takes to find your good pen.

What’s on it?

• Likely questions, based on the role, its level and the posting.
• Your best stories, matched to those questions and drawn only from your real experience.
• Questions to ask them, so you don’t freeze when they say “Any questions for us?”

Where do interviews come from?

With Gmail and Calendar connected, interview invites show up on the Interviews page by themselves (see Connect Gmail, Calendar and Sheets). Otherwise, update the application’s stage yourself on the Applications page.

Can I add stories from my meetings?

Yes. If you use Fetch, Hunter can find wins and numbers in your recorded meetings that never made it onto your resume. See Prep for interviews with your Fetch notes.

Reading isn’t the same as saying it
