Install on Windows
How to download and install Fetch, Hunter or Kibble on Windows 10 or 11. No admin rights needed, and setup takes a few minutes.
To install a Soggy Dog app, download its installer from the Download page, open it, and click through. It takes a few minutes, needs no administrator rights, and puts the app on your desktop and in the Start menu.

How do I install an app?
- Go to the Download page and click the button for Fetch, Hunter or Kibble. The installer (for example
FetchSetup.exe) lands in your Downloads folder. - Double-click the installer.
- Click Install. The installer downloads the parts the app needs, then sets everything up. You’ll see each step tick off.
- When it says the app is installed, leave Open now checked and click Finish.
The app opens with a short setup guide, starring a dog. See First-time setup for what it asks.
How big is each download, and how long does it take?
| App | Downloads during install | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Fetch | About 1 GB, or about 3.5 GB with an NVIDIA graphics card | 5 to 20 minutes |
| Hunter | About 400 MB | 3 to 10 minutes |
| Kibble | About 300 MB (about 900 MB once set up) | 2 to 5 minutes |
Times assume a good internet connection. A slow connection just means a longer coffee break.
What if Windows shows a warning?
If you see a blue box that says Windows protected your PC, click More info, check that the publisher is Soggy Dog Studios, then click Run anyway. Windows shows this for apps it hasn’t seen many times yet.
What if the install stops partway?
The installer shows what went wrong in red and offers Try again. Most failures are a dropped internet connection, so check yours and retry. The full details go into an install.log file in the app’s folder, which is handy if you contact support.
Can I install more than one app?
Yes. Fetch, Hunter and Kibble install separately and happily share a computer. Hunter can even read your Fetch meetings for interview stories (see Prep for interviews with your Fetch notes).
Questions people ask
Do I need administrator rights to install?
No. Each app installs into your own Windows user folder, so a regular account works fine.
Why does the installer download more files?
The installer itself is small. It then downloads the parts the app needs for your computer, like speech models for Fetch. That's why the download sizes below are bigger than the installer.
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet. All three apps are Windows only for now.
