Getting help and sending your log file
How to reach a real person at Soggy Dog Studios, what to include, and where to find each app's version number and log file.
To get help, send us a note on the Contact page. A real person reads every message. You’ll get an answer faster if you include the app’s version number and its log file, which is a plain text record of what the app was doing.

What should I include?
- Which app (Fetch, Hunter or Kibble) and what you were trying to do.
- What happened instead, including the exact wording of any error. A screenshot is perfect.
- The version number, from Settings > About.
- The log file, if the problem involves an error or a crash.
Where is the log file?
Each app keeps one file named app.log:
| App | Log file |
|---|---|
| Fetch | %LOCALAPPDATA%\MeetingNotetaker\app.log |
| Hunter | %LOCALAPPDATA%\Hunter\app.log |
| Kibble | %LOCALAPPDATA%\Kibble\app.log |
To open it, press Windows + R, paste the path, and press Enter. In Kibble, Settings > About has a button that opens the folder for you.
If the problem happened while installing, look for install.log in the app’s install folder instead. The installer’s error message tells you where.
Try these first
A few quick fixes clear up most problems:
- Update the app. The fix may already be out. See Updating your apps.
- Quit and reopen it. Right-click the tray icon, choose Quit, then open it again from the Start menu.
- Check the AI sign-in. Many “it didn’t write anything” problems are a Claude or ChatGPT sign-in that expired. See Connect your Claude or ChatGPT account.
- Check your internet. Installs, updates, hunts and AI features all need it.
Is it urgent?
If something is truly on fire, like a recording you can’t afford to lose, say so in the subject line. We’ll come running, tail first.
Questions people ask
Is support free?
Yes. Help center and email support are part of the free plan.
Is my log file private?
It records what the app did and any errors, not the content of your meetings, resumes or budget. Have a quick look before you send it if you like. It's plain text.
