To uninstall a Soggy Dog app, open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Fetch, Hunter or Kibble, click the … menu, and choose Uninstall. The uninstaller then asks whether to delete the app’s data too. Answer No if you might come back.

How do I uninstall an app?

  1. Open the Start menu and go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps. (On Windows 10 it’s Settings > Apps > Apps & features.)
  2. Find the app in the list. The publisher shows as Soggy Dog Studios.
  3. Click … (or the app name on Windows 10) and choose Uninstall.
  4. Answer the two questions: whether to remove the app, then whether to delete its data too.

The uninstaller closes the app if it’s running, removes the desktop and Start menu shortcuts, and stops it from starting with Windows.

What happens to my data?

That depends on how you answer the second question, and on the app.

App “Also delete” removes Always kept
Fetch Settings, speech models and the call list Your notes folder (Documents\Meeting Notes, or wherever you chose)
Hunter Settings, profiles, job list and saved logins Your resumes folder (Documents\Hunter, or wherever you chose)
Kibble Settings and your budget on this computer Nothing else. Choose No to keep your budget

Fetch and Hunter never touch the folders where your notes and resumes live, so the files you care about most stay put either way. Kibble asks plainly, because the budget is the whole point. If in doubt, say No. You can always delete the folder yourself later. See Where your data is stored for exact locations.

What about passwords and keys?

Fetch and Kibble keep their API keys and app passwords in Windows Credential Manager. To clear them, open Credential Manager > Windows Credentials and remove the entries named after the app. Hunter’s saved logins live inside its own encrypted vault and go away when you choose to delete its data.

Questions people ask

If I reinstall later, will my data come back?

Yes, as long as you answered No when the uninstaller asked about deleting your data. Reinstall and the app picks up where you left off.

Does uninstalling cancel anything?

There's nothing to cancel. The apps are free during early access and don't need an account.
