System requirements
What you need to run Fetch, Hunter and Kibble, including Windows version, disk space, graphics cards, and which AI plans work.
Fetch, Hunter and Kibble run on Windows 10 or Windows 11. You need an internet connection to install them, and a Claude or ChatGPT plan for the AI features. Fetch is the only one with real hardware needs, and even it runs on laptops without a graphics card.
What do all three apps need?
- Windows 10 or 11. There’s no Mac or phone version yet.
- A regular Windows account. No administrator rights needed.
- Internet for installing and updating. After that, recording, budgeting and most screens work offline.
- A Claude or ChatGPT plan for AI features (optional). Claude Pro or Max, or ChatGPT Plus, Pro or Business. See Connect your Claude or ChatGPT account.
What does Fetch need?
Fetch turns speech into text on your own computer, so it cares a bit about horsepower:
- Disk space: about 1 GB to install, or about 3.5 GB with an NVIDIA graphics card. Extra speech models range from 0.6 GB to 4.8 GB each.
- Graphics card: optional. With an NVIDIA card, Fetch uses it for faster, more accurate transcripts. Without one, your processor handles live notes.
- Memory: computers with 8 GB or less get a compressed or smaller model that keeps things snappy during calls.
- A microphone, for your side of the call. Fetch records the other side from your computer’s sound.
Setup checks all of this for you and picks a model. Details are in Choose a speech model.
What do Hunter and Kibble need?
- Hunter: about 400 MB, plus internet for hunts and applications. Spoken mock interviews borrow Fetch’s speech engine, so install Fetch too if you want to answer out loud.
- Kibble: about 900 MB once set up. Reading receipts from email needs a Gmail address with 2-Step Verification turned on (see Make a Gmail app password).
Will it slow down my computer?
Hunter and Kibble are light. Fetch works hardest during a call, which is why setup matches the model to your machine. If calls feel sluggish, switch the live model to a compressed or smaller one in Settings > Transcription.
Questions people ask
Does Fetch need a graphics card?
No. It runs on your processor if there's no NVIDIA card, and setup picks a model that fits. An NVIDIA card just makes it faster and lets it use the most accurate models.
Is there a Mac or phone version?
Not yet. All three apps are Windows only for now.
Do I have to pay for Claude or ChatGPT?
The AI features use a plan you already have. Claude needs Pro or Max. ChatGPT needs Plus, Pro or Business. Everything else works without one.
