Where your data is stored
The exact folders where Fetch, Hunter and Kibble keep your notes, resumes, budgets, settings and logs on your Windows PC.
Everything you make in Fetch, Hunter and Kibble is saved on your own computer. Your files go in your Documents folder, and the app’s own database and settings go in your hidden app-data folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%). Passwords and keys are locked away in Windows’ secure storage.

Where does Fetch keep things?

| Settings | %LOCALAPPDATA%\MeetingNotetaker\settings.json |
| API keys | Windows Credential Manager, entry “MeetingNotetaker” |
| Log | %LOCALAPPDATA%\MeetingNotetaker\app.log |
Yes, the folder says MeetingNotetaker. That was Fetch’s name before it learned to fetch. More in Where are my recordings saved?

How do I back up my data?
Copy the folders above to a USB drive or cloud folder while the app is closed. Fetch can also copy each meeting to Google Drive on its own (see Back up to Google Drive).
Who else can see it?
Only people who can sign in to your Windows account. Nothing goes to Soggy Dog Studios except, if you leave it on, a few anonymous daily counts like “3 calls recorded”. Never your content. Our Security page has the details.
Questions people ask
Is anything stored on Soggy Dog's servers?
No. Your notes, resumes and budgets live on your computer. The only things that leave are what you turn on, like a Google Drive backup, or text sent to your own Claude or ChatGPT account.
What is %LOCALAPPDATA%?
A Windows shortcut for your hidden app-data folder, usually C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local. Paste it into File Explorer's address bar to jump there.
